Introduction
A nine-year-old primary four student, Yuk Lun is fond of drawing and creates at least one painting a day. Every time when he talks about his works, he explains with exciting gestures to let people know about his feelings and imagination. In addition to drawing, he also loves exploring and learning the use of different materials to express his ideas.
His mixed media artwork “Dream Boat” was awarded merit in student division in the “Cross all Borders: Hong Kong Festival Showcasing New Visual Artists with Disabilities 2012”. Moreover, his work “In the Field” won the gold prize in the same competition in 2014, when he applied for and was granted a scholarship by “ADA’s Dr Marion Fang Arts with the Disabled Memorial Fund” for publication of his first catalogue “Train Railway Journey”. In 2016, Yuk Lun’s “A Maze” and “UFO is Peeking at the Train Factory” won the bronze prize and the merit award respectively.
